Aquí en la Tierra (Here on Earth) 2017
I was commissioned by the Marketing art Director of FOX Latin Television series to photograph the filming that was taking place on locations in and around Mexico City. The series is about a corrupt governor on his quest for power, his relations and his family. His daughter is a photographer for which the images we also used in an exhibition. I was interested in the possibility of appropriating a subject that I am familiar with, but working with actors and locations set up for the film shoot.
It was a new way for me to approach the subject and consider performance as an ally when producing a documentary style project.
